A 'Xena: Warrior Princess' Reboot Is Coming

A land in turmoil cries out for a hero.

One of the best fantasy/action shows ever, Xena: Warrior Princess, is apparently the latest show from our childhoods set to be revived. Yes! According to reports, a reboot is in the early stages of development, with original executive producers Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi on board with the project for a potential 2016 release date.

More excitingly, sources have said that OG star Lucy Lawless will be involved in the reboot, either behind the scenes or even reprising her role. No word yet on whether Renee O'Connor will be back as Xena's gal pal Gabrielle, but as early reports claim that this will be a "modern reboot", we hope that the two of them will be able to do more than stroke each other's hair/take the occasional friendly bath together.

This news is getting us very excited for new episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess, full of vengeful gods, chakrams, complicated heroes and hopefully way less rape than Game of Thrones.
