An Exhibition Of Cat Videos Is Happening

Cute overload.
If you've never accidentally lost 2 hours because of a cat video vortex, you're a liar. They are our Achilles heel, plus science says that watching cat videos is good for your health. Really, google it

The Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria is opening an exhibit re: this phenomenon. Titled How Cats Took Over the Internet, it takes a deep look at why we can't stop watching.

The exhibition will feature all internet cat-related things – GIFs, memes, and a screening room with a continuous loop of popular cat videos. Heaven. We are moving in. It runs from August 7 to January 31.

In awwwww of all this cat content "presented through the critical lens of concepts like anthropomorphism and the aesthetics of cuteness," here are some faves (what you do with related videos is your choice):

Kittens inspired by kittens. Prepare to want offspring.
Cats morph into croissants. Delicious and suspicious.
The two talking cats. Heroes.
Cat mom hugs baby kitten. Prepare to die.
Funny cats sleeping in weird positions. Go home, you are literally drunk.
