Art School Took My Virginity

Clayton Pettet's NSFW performance piece.

Central Saint Martins art school student, Clayton Pettet is getting written about a lot on the internet right now, because of his upcoming performance art piece, 'Art School Took My Virginity', wherein he will lose his virginity. The one-off performance will feature the 19-year-old art guy engaging in safe (obvs) anal sex with a partner on stage, in front of between 50 - 100 of his classmates and members of the general public. We dare say more people than that will show up, now that the tabloid news titles are spreading the word.

The piece will be followed by a Q&A, where Clayton will be asking the audience to detect any changes in his partner's attitude towards him. As he put it on his blog, "Since culturally we do hold quite a lot of value to the idea of virginity I have decided to use mine and the loss of it to create a piece that I think will stimulate interesting debate and questions regarding the subject." Elaborating on his concept, he told Vice, "It's used more as an insult to still have your virginity now, but it’s always been a negative thing and always meant so much more than it should. I feel if I was a girl losing my virginity for this piece, people would be way more angry. Which is exactly my point. Virginity is used to dictate your worth depending on which gender you are."
Interesting idea, guy. If you're in London, register your interest in attending here.
