Cool Guy On The Internet: @bloodyosiris

Game boy.

@bloodyosiris is a NY-based a stylist, model and art director with killer steez and a taste for rare designer threads. His look, reminiscent of a lit, 90s Juelz Santana, is finessed by his down attitude and impressive CV — which includes working on creative projects with mate's labels like A$AP Bari's VLONE.

We caught up with the legend at Dave & Buster's arcade (aka Drizzy's fave hangout) in New York's Times Square to talk about being on Kanye's moodboard, his eclectic music taste and bringing back MySpace songs.

Ava Nirui: Tell me a bit about your mum and dad and your upbringing.
@bloodyorsiris: I grew up in Harlem. My pops got murdered. He was a fly drug dealer. You know the big gold chains, Dapper Dan, ShirtKings shit. I try to incorporate that in my style.

Do you think people follow you cause they fuck with your style?
Yeah... It's my style and personality that people fuck with. I don't give a fuck though, fuck with me or not, I fuck with me.

How would you describe your style?
High fashion hood rat.

What brands do you like?
I like Gosha. I liked Vetements' earlier shit, I don't really like their new shit. Supreme, definitely, Number (N)ine, Rick Owens is definitely my favourite.

What are some things you like and dislike about Instagram?
I like Instagram because, shit if it wasn't for Instagram y'all probably wouldn't be interviewing me. I hate the fact that music can't play on my page as you scroll down. Like, remember MySpace had that feature where you could pick any song you wanted to have on your page? PS: Instagram — if you use my idea, I need a check.

How did you get cast for the Yeezy show?
Through Ian (Connor) and Kim Schraub. Oh, and Ye. I was on Ye's moodboard, so he was fucking with me for a while.

How was the experience, doing the show?
I'm not gonna front, I was up there about to die. I ain't eat all day 'cause I was sick. So when I was up there, the bass from the music was hitting me hard. I felt that shit. I was the first to sit down. I felt like I was about to pass out.

You were allowed to sit?
Yeah, they told us we could sit down. But, I sat down so quick… like first song. If you look in the video, my eyes were going brazy. I was tweaking. Was everyone else fading too? Nah, they was good. My man Lil Yachty stood up the whole time. It was brazy. I don't know how the fuck he did that shit.

Do you wanna pursue modelling?
Not at all. Just on my stylist/consultant shit.

So you do some work for VLONE?
Yeah, (A$AP) Bari is my big brother.

If you could do one dream job for any company, who would it be for?
Roc-A-Fella Records in that era when they had the all-star team. They had State Property and The Diplomats. I would love to be set director on their tours or some cool job like that.

I love Cam! Dipset have the sickest merch.
Yeah, I would wanna work on their merch. I'd wanna take it back to 2003 Diplomat type shit.

What kind of music do you like?
Dipset, Unotheactivist , Cyndi Lauper, Pat Benetar. I like (Young) Thug, too.

What are some things you like to do in New York?
Fuck New York. It's so boring besides shopping. Oh, I like exploring new spots to eat like I try to eat out at a new spot everyday. That whole Soho scene is a dub, I rather be in the projects uptown. It's more alive, niggas ain't walking around trying to act cool and anti-social.

Where do you like to travel to?
My favourite place is Atlanta. That's my second home. I like California. I just got back from Miami, too. We did Rolling Loud. It was fun. Next, I want to go to Vegas be on my Mexican bum swag.

What's been your fave creative project so far?
Myself and the lane I have created. Like, the whole of Soho looks like me and Dior now. Niggas went from rolling up their tan trousers at the ankles to saggin' their BB Simon belts, something I brought back, and all the kids wanna be Blood now. I'm not proud of that, like, I been gang bangin' since 2011. It's not cool, but it is what it is.
