Daphne Guinness Exhibition

Custom made shoes and more than two dozen McQueens.

The first images have surfaced previewing the highly anticipated Daphne Guinness exhibition opening on the 16 September at the FIT Museum in New York. Co-curated by Guinness, the exhibition will feature 100 pieces from her personal collection, as well as several of her own designs. The exhibition will also host various photographs of Guinness, along with a selection of films.

A renowned collector of couture and celebrated style icon, the exhibition presents an opportunity to revel in the idiosyncrasies of Guinness' creative flair and personal vision. Highlights of the exhibition will include Philip Treacy hats, more than two dozen Alexander McQueen garments (never yet displayed), and a pair of custom made shoes belonging to Guinness courtesy of Christian Louboutin and Noritaka Tatehana.

The exhibition will run from 16 September to 7 January 2012.
