David Lynch Gets A Tribute Album Feat. Sky Ferreira, Lykke Li & Heaps Of Other Legends

In dreams.

Hot on the heels of Xiu Xiu's Twin Peaks cover album comes even more musical greatness inspired by old mate David Lynch — a double LP of music that has appeared in David's films, as performed by his collaborators, friends and famous fans.

Called The Music of David Lynch, the 16-track vinyl album features gems like a live rendition of Angelo Badalamenti performing Laura Palmer's theme, Sky Ferreira crooning 'Blue Velvet', and Lykke Li doing Chris Isaak’s 'Wicked Game', which appeared in Wild At Heart. Other musicians involved include Duran Duran, Moby and Karen O, as well as a very David Lynch poem performed by David Lynch himself.

The tracks were recorded live at the Ace Hotel last year at the David Lynch Foundation's concert celebrating its 10th anniversary. Take a look at the excellent artwork and track list below:

And here's David performing that poem, accompanied by Donovan on the guitar. <3
