Ellery Pre-Fall 2014 Lookbook

Featuring neck braces, sculptural touches and fuzzy shoes.

Following a sick Julia Nobis-fronted campaign, Kym Ellery's first ever Pre-Fall lookbook shows that she's (unsurprisingly) started the season with a bang. Featuring Astrid Holler, the looks hit super high on the luxe scale — from a voluminous deep purple maxi skirt you could probably swim in, an oversized irridescent mauve coat, modest skirts with surprise slits to quietly-flared brocade pants. It's all pretty regal and modern.

As with most collections, though, the designer's Pre-Fall 2014 one (first shown at Bondi's Icebergs in December last year) has an element of wit and whimsy that carries the origami-esque and wool-filled looks past simple beauty. Bib-like felt necklaces, shoes so fuzzy they need pet names and turtleneck scarves that could easily be altered into orthopedic devices were all highlights.
