For Artists Only

Rose Bay just got far cooler.

With the recent openings of Burberry's George Street flagship and Zara's three-level CBD megastore, lavish fashion outlets in Sydney are becoming as prevalent as tapas restaurants. But local labels have their place too - most recently inside the charmingly offbeat womens fashion boutique For Artists Only, which celebrated its opening last night in Rose Bay.

The boutique is an eclectic combination of music and fashion, stocking clothing and accessories from top local and international fashion labels. Curated by music industry duo Kristie MacDonald and Marty Salmon, this latest venture is the culmination of extensive creative immersion and years of experience in both the music and fashion fields. Sass and Bide, Ksubi, ManiaMania, Jessie Hill, KJ by Kirrily Johnston, J Brand, Lover and Shakuhachi have all been confirmed for the store, and talks with international labels Alexander Wang, Pamela Love and Isabel Marant are in the pipeline.

Wednesday's opening celebration followed in the same cool, quirky vein - click on the images to view in gallery mode.
