Gavin McInnes Takes Leave of Absence After Anti-Trans Article

After 'Transphobia Is Perfectly Natural' brouhaha.
After publishing a Thought Catalog piece viewed by the majority of the internet as a gross hate-rant against the trans community, ousted Vice co-founder, Gavin McInnes has been asked to take a leave of absence from his day job as founder and CCO of ad agency Rooster.

Reportedly, the 'Transphobia Is Perfectly Natural' piece saw Tumblr and Twitter users pledging to boycott Rooster and asking their clients (Vans, Red Bull, Fox Sports and more) to do the same.

A spokesperson for Rooster says, "Gavin's views are his own and do not represent those of the company or its members," adding, "We are extremely disappointed with his actions and have asked that he take a leave of absence while we determine the most appropriate course of action." Meanwhile, the original article's URL now provides a warning, before taking you through to the piece. That's nice.
