Gorillaz Drop Their First Track And Clip In Six Years Because Trump
Last October, our alt-teen heroes Gorillaz teased some fresh tunes via a pretty weird mutlimedia story titled The Book of a Noodle. Today, hours before Trump takes his throne, the band have dropped a politically-charged 'Hallelujah Money' featuring Mercury Prize winner Benjamin Clementine.
According to a press release, the song details themes of "power, big business, and humanity" — just a few of Trump's fav things.
"In these dark times, we all need someone to look up to. Me. That's why I'm giving you this new Gorillaz song, a lightning bolt of truth in a black night." Murdoc says. "You're welcome. Now piss on! The new album's not gonna write itself."
