Halima Aden, IMG's First Hijab-Wearing Model, Makes Debut For Yeezy
Like most of IMG's roster, recently-signed Halima Aden is a total stunna. She's a 19 year-old first-gen Somali-American and was born in a Kenyan refugee camp, and she's the first hijab-wearing model that IMG have signed. Props to Kanye's Yeezy for having her make her Fashion Week debut at the presentation.
Halima was a pretty incred addition to the show's impressive casting, put together by Evelien Joos. Joined by hotshots Luka Sabbat, Playboi Carti and Rich the Kid. For the show, she wore a very heavy, very Kim-related full length fur coat. Watch her do her thang:

Halima first made headlines when she was the first entrant to wear a hijab at her state's Miss USA pageant last year, after which she landed a huge feature in the March issue of Carine Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book.
"I found that she was just so brave to stick to what she really believed in and yet go after the American dream of being in a beauty contest," IMG Models president Ivan Bart told Business of Fashion about signing Aden. "By representing Halima, I would hope that the next 10-year-old girl wearing her hijab right now will feel included in the experience of fashion, and know that she could do that too. We need to reflect in fashion who we are, as a human race."
"We'll see how the industry reacts to Halima and works with the restrictions or not. It doesn't negate the fact that we want to represent her."
Industry reactions, so far: get it gurl!
