Hodge Your Bets

The beautiful people, caught on film.

Sydney bred, Berlin based photographer Samuel Hodge has turned his grainy, 35mm brand of magic to The Cheap Trick - a project which sees bright-eyed beauties captured in their raw glory.

Known for his honest, no-holds-barred approach to capturing the oft forgotten moments of daily life, Hodge's blog Sometimes I Just Need Quiet and 2009 book Pretty Telling I Suppose are documentations of entwined bodies, late-night cigarettes and unmade beds.

Keeping with what he snaps best, Hodge's new blog The Cheap Trick is a documentation of model go-sees and fashion faces caught in moments of gentle domesticity. The haunting dichotomy of the photographer's striking compositions and the sincere spontaneity of his models makes for a refreshingly sincere visual account of life through a lens.
