It's Official: 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Returning For A Ninth Season

Pretty, pretty good.

Please join us as we raise a glass of some vanilla bullshit, latte cappa-thing and toast the news that Larry David and the gang will return to HBO for a ninth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm

Casey Bloys, the president of HBO programming (holder of best job in the world, IOHO), confirmed the revival in a statement, saying: "We're thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of Curb and can't wait to see what he has planned." Us neither, mate.

We've been waiting for this kind of confirmation ever since JB Smoove, the guy who plays Leon Black in the show, let slip that the possibility of a new season was fairly high last week:

"He starts off with his little, 'Ehhhh, you know, I'm thinking about coming back'. But see, that's great because he has not said no, which puts us in a great position for possibilities... that means it's still going. If Larry does not say no, there's a possibility he may say yes. And then he went extra. He said, 'If I do come back, would you be available?' I said, 'You know something Larry, I'll be available. Just call me, give me early notice, and I'll be there'. I'll move anything to the side for Curb Your Enthusiasm, which would be a fabulous thing to do. Season nine would be fabulous."

When probed about his five year hiatus, Larry, aka the real life George Costanza, quoted another of history's greats, saying: "In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, 'I left, I did nothing, I returned.'"

It's all pretty… pretty… pretty… pretty good news.
