Jacquemus Went Fully Theatrical For SS16 @ PFW

I'm on a horse.

Young gun Jacquemus is earning himself a reputation for runway shows that are the opposite of boring. Last night, the French designer one-upped his last mask and peep-hole filled presentation with an atmospheric SS16 show feat. kids, giant balls of fabric and a well-behaved white horse.

The show opened with a nod to Tourism Victoria, as a kid pushed a massive red ball of fabric across the space in a literal representation of the label's naive style. The collection that followed was pared back in comparison with manipulated suiting and playful tie-up details jazzing up the geometric, neutral looks.

The theatre continued as Jacquemus entered the room with a white equine twin because, why not?

A kid wearing a cumbersome tie and some Ms. Fieldmouse from Thumbelina-esque fabric ball wearing girls followed, before the show finished on a fairly normal note with a posse of models standing centre stage.
