Kanye West x The Canyons

Yeezy remixes the Bret Easton Ellis-scripted trailer.
The love affair between Kanye West and American Psycho writer Bret Easton Ellis continues, after the rapper's multimedia collective DONDA (named after his mum) remixed the trailer for The Canyon's i.e. the new Lindsay Lohan film that everyone's hating on. Releasing the new and improved version over the weekend, Yeez-dawg has not only re-cut the trailer, giving it a faster and (slightly) more exciting spin, but he's scored the music too — a minimalist piano number that crescendos into a reverb-heavy and dramatic soundscape, before ending abruptly. While internet commentators are all 'that movie sucks', at least the trailer's now improved from it's original dubstep mess.

Kanye first teamed up with the prophet of excess/rabid Twitter user, Easton Ellis, to work on the teaser for Yeezus, an American Psycho parody that the novelist/screen writer scripted himself, especially for Mr. Kardashian. Here's hoping these two creative gestures are the beginning of a dark twisted friendship, in which Kanye commissions Bret to write his hyper-real life story. Meanwhile, no one is showing any love for the movie's stars, Lindsay Lohan and porn guy James Deen. Sad face.
