Morrissey Confirms Album For 2014

His first in four years.

Morrissey's most recent release came last year — not via his foremost discipline but in autobiographical paperback classic form — but he's not offered up an LP since 2009's Years of Refusal, his self-proclaimed "strongest work to date."

Five years of bottled up feelings, thwarted poeticisms and secret sarcastic output is evidently getting the better of Moz, however, and he'll have something for us later in the year. He's signed a worldwide record deal with Universal Music's US-based Harvest Records, and a statement indicates he's feeling: thrilled.

He'll have studio time with producer Joe Chiccarelli (who recently worked on The Strokes' Angles) and has plans to tour this year. That's pretty much all we know because Less Is Morrissey.

The human waterfall of opinions, no stranger to a rude feud or a ranty tanty, said this in a blog post last week: "The actuality is that radio stations will not play my music, and the majority of people have lost faith in the music industry, and it's generally assumed – quite rightly – that the number one chart positions are 'bought' by the major labels, so there really is no passion left in pop or rock music, and I don't think people believe for an instant that the faces we constantly see on television and in magazines are remotely popular."

CLASSIQ MOZ. In line with that, we now present some classic Moz visuals in GIF format because he's resplendent and exciting, always.
