Movin' On Up

Move! is a two day event at MOMA's PS1, which will feature 12 amazing artist-designer collaborations.

The worlds of fashion and art often coalesce. But Cecilia Dean, editor and co-founder of Visionaire, and David Colman of The New York Times, are taking the fashion/art concept into a whole new domain with Move!

Taking place on October 30th and 31st, Move! is a two day event at MOMA's PS1, which will feature 12 artist-designer collaborations. Partnerships include Terence Koh with Italo Zucchelli of Calvin Klein, and Brody Condon with Rodarte's Kate and Laura Mulleavy.

Projects range from the straightforward - Kalup Linzy will be wearing Diane von Furstenberg as he performs, while Rashaad Newsome recreates his Shade Compositions with dancers dressed in Alexander Wang? to more interactive, performance-based pieces. Dan Colen's piece with Proenza Schouler's Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez will involve surveillance cameras, and the four Brooklyn artists-cum-club kids known as The Cheryls are hosting a makeover workshop with American Apparel.

Move! will be admission-free and open to the public. A Halloween party, hosted by Visionaire, will cap off events on the 31st.
