Oyster #88 On Sale!

No retouching. No makeup. No bullshit. Just Nobis.

This issue, Oyster shows how raw can be beautiful. In her first large circulation cover, Julia Nobis appears completely un-retouched and makeup free. Lo-fi photography by Rene Vaile and styling from Oyster's Fashion Director Imogene Barron help highlight Julia's cheeky personality. Often models are used as mannequins with someone else's vision projected onto them, but Oyster's goal with Julia was to do the opposite.

Also in this issue is an exclusive interview with UK design wunderkind Gareth Pugh, accompanied by an 8 page fashion story shot by Mari Sarai and styled by Verity Parker. It-girl and songstress Josephine de la Baume and her little brother and bandmate Alexandre talk family, philosophy and songwriting, accompanied by a 12 page editorial shot by Cameron Smith with styling from Mags Crow.

Super model Erin O'Connor gets her kabuki on in a 12 page editorial shot by Brooke Nipar and styled by Kate Ruth, while other contributing fashion editors include Paul Bui and David Bonney, with additional photography from Ben Sullivan, Darren McDonald and Guillaume Lechat.

Other 8 include interviews with rising star Carey Mulligan, Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas and art legend Yayoi Kusama. We also profile Australia's latest fashion prodigy Elliot Ward-Fear, photographer Dan Colen, model Lisanne de Jong, bands Circle Pit and MELT-BANANA and designer Karen Walker interviews artist and friend Michael Parekowhai.

We also introduce our new Beauty Director Natasha Severino in a floral themed beauty spread, and talk to makeup maestro Alex Box.
