Oyster Exclusive: Kate Sylvester Opticals Behind the Scenes

A sneak peek at the new campaign.

Kate Sylvester shot her new opticals campaign last weekend, and Oyster has the behind the scenes shots to give you a teaser of what to expect. Perfectly complimenting the AW12 collection (inspired by cult film Secretary starring Maggie Gyllenhaal), the optical line 8 a myriad of shapes and styles in honey, olive, tortoise, eggshell and blush pink, making these glasses more chic than geek. The frames take their names from Sylvester's favourite authors, so we thought it only fitting to take the designer aside and quiz her about her top three favourite novels. This is what she had to say:

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte - "It's my favourite love story. It is a perfect balance of exquisite understatement and Gothic hysteria."

Catcher In The Rye by JD Salinger - "This is one of my favourite novels because I completely and utterly adore Holden Caulderfield, his beautifully poignant teenage angst and the mid-century New York wasp world that he inhabits."

Fighting Reuben Wolf by Marcus Zusak - "Because of this part: She might be there tomorrow. She might be there. She might be. She might. She."
