PFW FW13: Givenchy

The highlight of the season.

Last night Riccardo Tisci blew our minds. His Fall collection, presented in a vast industrial space in Paris' 13th arrondissement, was by far the highlight of the season.

The Givenchy woman can be fairly intimidating, but this season she was vulnerable, feminine and seductive. Riccardo's calling cards were all there, the black leather, the sweatshirts, but they were just the support acts — there was so much more going on. The prints — florals, plaids — were mixed together harmoniously, and the skirts, in varying lengths and fabrics (chiffon, velvet), made us want to give up pants forever. For the soundtrack, Antony Hegarty of Antony and the Johnsons sung live and we all wept a little, completely forgetting about Kimye sitting the front row. Riccardo was the biggest star there.
