Quentin Tarantino Protests Police Brutality So NYPD Calls For Tarantino Boycott

Yeah, nah.

Today we learnt that Super Troopers 2 is happening and, in completely opposite police/movie related news, that the NYPD want you to quit Quentin Tarantino. The legendary auteur made a speech at an anti-police brutality rally in New York over the weekend, and the coppers did not like it one bit. One particularly hectic NYPD union boss has gone so far as to say that Quentin peddles "Cop Fiction" (good one m8) and should be boycotted immediately.

Quentin told protestors at the Washington Sqaure Park rally that too often police are murderers:

"When I see murders, I do not stand by… I have to call the murderers the murderers."

The protest happened to fall a few days after a policeman lost his life on the job in Harlem, a fact that union boss Patrick Lynch used to slam "cop-hater" Quentin.

"It's no surprise that someone who makes a living glorifying crime and violence is a cop-hater, too," said Patrick in a statement.

"The police officers that Quentin Tarantino calls 'murderers' aren't living in one of his depraved big-screen fantasies — they're risking and sometimes sacrificing their lives to protect communities from real crime and mayhem."

"New Yorkers need to send a message to this purveyor of degeneracy that he has no business coming to our city to peddle his slanderous 'Cop Fiction'."

Quinten had the following to say in his defence:

"It's like this: It's unfortunate timing, but we've flown in all these families to go and tell their stories... That cop that was killed, that's a tragedy, too."

Our two cents: more transparency less hyperbole pls. And, more of this:
