Spring 2012 Campaigns Pt 2

Balmain, Jil Stuart, Mulberry, Isabel Marant, Max Mara, D&G, YSL.

The Spring 2012 campaigns just keep on coming. For part two of our campaign round-up, firstly we present Balmain's advertising offering (above), in which Anja Rubik, cast in neon glow, is photographed by Inez & Vinoodh who have successfully landed an insane number of high-profile campaigns this season. With slicked-back hair, there's a bit of a Ziggy Stardust, glam-rock thing going on. In one word: SWAG.

Just in is Jil Stuart, featuring Daphne Groeneveld shot by Mario Sorrenti. In pastels, and without eyebrows (who needs 'em anyway?), she does her best 'celebrity exiting a limo' impersonation but with much more style - there's no knicker-flashing here.

Quintessential British luxury leather-goods label Mulberry takes a trip to the seaside for Spring 2012, lensed by the label's favourite photographer Tim Walker. Oyster #95 cover girl Lindsey Wixson is accompanied by Frida Gustavsson who soak up the sun on Brighton Pier's pebbled-beaches, with Mulberry's famed Bayswater bags in hand.

Snapped by - you guessed it - Inez & Vinoodh, Isabel Marant shies away from anything ostentatious with its Spring 2012 print campaign. Instead, the French label with a cult following favours a fresh-faced Arizona Muse in what could be the backseat of a Cadillac (are we sensing a theme, here?)

Max Mara's Spring 2012 campaign would feel silky if you could touch it. Saskia du Brauw, with the aid of a bird of paradise flower, is photographed by Mario Sorrenti and just looks so damn smooth.

Dolce & Gabbana's Spring campaign is a family affair featuring Bianca Balti and Monica Bellucci, shot by Giampaolo Sgura in the picturesque surrounds of Southern Italy. Going to church has never looked so appealing.

While Yves Saint Laurent has used Inez & Vinoodh for the last nine seasons consecutively, this time the legendary French fashion house puts David Sims behind the lens. Mariacarla Boscono, with pale skin, gaunt cheeks and penciled eyebrows, is an esoteric beauty in these sombre studio portraits.
