The Government Is Pissed @ Snapchat

For lying about how its messages 'disappear'.
Snapchat gained popularity as an app by asserting that your pictures 'disappear' but as any pervy individual will tell you, there are a handful of ways around that. Third party apps and cheeky tricks make it easy for someone to screenshot a dick pic (or text/video for that matter) without detection — so easy, that it's something of a lie according to the US Government. The Federal Trade Commission have decided to give Snapchat a stern warning for their "deceptive" marketing methods in the form of a deal.

The deal states, "Under the terms of the settlement, Snapchat will be prohibited from misrepresenting how it maintains the privacy and confidentially of user information. The company will also be required to start a wide-ranging privacy program that will be independently monitored for 20 years. Fines could ensue if the company does not comply with the agreement." Maybe they should have taken Zuckerberg's $3 billion; he is basically above the law.
