The Wheeler is Illuminated

Jonathan Safran Foer, The Psychopath Test and more are coming to town.

A hub for Melbourne's literary and publishing community, The Wheeler Centre offers yet another space for artsy and intellectual conversations about our love for writing. Soon to hold it's third and final program for 2011, The Wheeler Centre will be the home of discussions about great Australian literature, vampires and pirates, carbon taxes, crime legends and police reflections from September to November this year.

We were thrilled to hear that one of the most talked about American authors, Jonathan Safran Foer, will be gracing us with his ever-so-interesting presence. Best known for his two novels Everything is Illuminated and Extremely Loud and Incredible Close, Safran Foer will invite us to delve into his fascinating mind and explore the extremities of his work. A topic of curiosity will no doubt be his first non-fiction piece, Eating Animals, a controversial and passionate piece of vegetarian activism that changed lives and captivated audiences.

Joining Safran Foer in conversation will be journalist, author and documentary film maker Jon Ronson, writer of the captivating novel The Psychopath Test. One of the many other compelling discussions will feature Judith Lucy and Kaz Cooke chatting about hormones, heartbreak and her ultimate bible for all things woman, Women's Stuff.

This third and final literature feast will not be one to miss. Head to the Wheeler Centre website for the full program.
