'Transparent' Renewed, Will Make You Feel Feelings For A Fourth Season
One of the realest series in production right now has just been renewed for a fourth season (before its third season has even premiered) because, presumably, humans are sometimes smart and good. That means at least two more years of heart-warming/heart-breaking dramedy gold from creator Jill Soloway and all your Transparent faves, with season four slated to premiere on Amazon Prime in 2017.
"Amazon's explosive freedom and revolutionary thinking has given birth to this show," Jill says. "It's so much more than TV to us, it's our version of the most ambitious streaming art we can conjure ... The Pfeffermans have many more stories to tell and we can't wait to keep making them."
The returning cast includes core fam members Jeffrey Tambor (Maura Pfefferman), Judith Light (Shelly Pfefferman), Gaby Hoffmann (Ali Pfefferman), Amy Landecker (Sarah Pfefferman) and Jay Duplass (Josh Pfefferman). And, if the show's cameo track record is anything to go by — season two starred Hari Nef, Angelica Huston and Kiersey Clemens, and Caitlyn Jenner will appear in season three — we're sure to see a bunch more major names appear in future episodes.
Transparent season three will premiere later this year.
