Watch Kanye Flip Out At MTV's Sway

And call himself "Shakespeare in the flesh. Walt Disney. Nike. Google."

If we've learnt anything this week, it's that Kanye West's capacity to stir and unsettle is incalculable. Forget straddling KK on a motorcycle against a backdrop of phoney baloney CGI dreamscape (so, so beautiful) and the inevitable parody that followed. Forget that his partnership with Adidas will make him bigger than Wal-Mart.

This here is an interview with MTV News' Sway Calloway on the SiriusXM station, featuring thirty minutes of the archetypically pompous, inflated Yeezy that we enjoy so very much. Hooray! Palpably still dirty from that time in March Sway crowned him #7 on a hottest MC List, he rants hard, argues doggedly and at around the 17-minute mark, flips out at Sway. "You ain't got the answers Sway! You ain't spent 13 million dollars of your own money trying to empower yourself!" he shouts at the host, who has proposed that Yeezy empowers himself rather than pontificating that corporations that are 'marginalising' him.

Oh, and then he apologises shortly after.

It's all fairly lol. Other notable spots of humour are touting his record My Beautiful Twisted Dark Fantasy as "the best hip-hop album of all time" and using "Shakespeare in the flesh. Walt Disney. Nike. Google," as metaphors for what the Kanye West product is. Are these comments even shocking anymore? I suppose maybe not, which is not to say we're not infinitely entertained by the man.
