Watch The Achingly Pleasant Trailer For Andrė Aciman's 'Call Me By Your Name' Adaptation

What were you doing ten years ago? If you weren't reading Andrė Aciman's Call Me By Your Name you need to correct that before we can continue. Ok, great, good to have you back. Now you know how big of a goddamn deal this is.
Your hopes/dreams/desires that this book be turned into a film were fulfilled when the adaptation, by Luca Guadagnino (I Am Love, A Bigger Splash), premiered at Sundance earlier this year. Everyone loved it, and it's not hard to imagine why: it's Italy, it's the 1980s, a youn Elio is getting to know the handome, American, Oliver. There is sexual tension, there is splendid cinematography. All boxes are decidedly ticked.
And so, finally, here comes the first trailer. It skims just the surface of what you should expect from the film, but still it is achingly pleasant. And, fittingly, it features a new Sufjan Stevens track.
Call Me By Your Name is out November 24.
