Winter Music

A possibly-haunted former five-star hotel plays host to a killer local line-up.

With a history as rich as Winter Music's lineup, what was once the Ritz Carlton Double Bay is a fertile breeding ground for one hell of a festival experience. Having played host to Princess Diana, Madonna and Michael Hutchence (at the time of his demise), it's now the turn of Sydneysiders to stamp their own stories on the illustrious former five-star hotel.

Winter Music is the first in a seasonal schedule of events that will see one-off festivals four times a year. With a lineup of killer local acts, including The Swiss, Anna Lunoe and Bad Ezzy, Mitzi, Softwar and Simon Caldwell - and special-effect make-up artists to up the haunted hotel ante - it is essentially Woodstock meets The Shining (which, after all, is everything we here at Oyster look for in a festival).

Winter Music will take place 9 and 10 July. Tickets are selling fast, and are available through Moshtix.
